Terms of Service
Last updated August 7, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ReelTideLog, a fishing-trip log and conditions app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
2. The Service
ReelTideLog lets you log fishing trips and catches, and shows tide, weather, sunrise/sunset, and fishing-regulation information for reference. The Service is provided “as is,” and features may change, be added, or be removed at any time.
Tide, weather, and regulation data shown in the app comes from third-party sources and periodic snapshots — it may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. It’s provided for informational convenience only, not as a substitute for confirming current regulations and conditions with official sources before you fish or keep a catch. See the regulations disclaimer for more detail. ReelTideLog is not responsible for citations, fines, or other consequences of relying on outdated or incorrect information in the app.
3. Accounts
You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Eligibility and Minors
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use it. If you're between 13 and the age of majority, you confirm you have parental or guardian permission to use the Service.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
ReelTideLog offers a free plan and a paid “Pro” plan. Depending on how you access ReelTideLog, Pro is purchased either as a recurring web subscription (processed by Stripe) or as an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Web subscriptions renew automatically until canceled and bill to the payment method on file. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page in the app; access to Pro features continues through the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Refunds for web subscriptions are handled at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.
In-app purchases made through the App Store or Play Store are billed, renewed, and refunded according to Apple’s and Google’s own policies, not ReelTideLog’s — manage or cancel those subscriptions through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
6. Apple App Store Terms
If you download the Service via the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and ReelTideLog only, not Apple, and Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service. Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, claims, or third-party intellectual property claims related to the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
7. Acceptable Use
Don’t use the Service to violate any law, interfere with the Service’s operation, or attempt to access another user’s account or data without permission.
8. User Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the trip logs, catches, notes, and photos you submit to the Service (“User Content”). You grant ReelTideLog a limited license to store, display, and process User Content solely to operate and improve the Service. ReelTideLog retains all rights to the app itself, including its design, code, and any compiled or aggregated data derived from User Content.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReelTideLog isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on tide, weather, or regulations information shown in the app.
In no event shall ReelTideLog’s total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid ReelTideLog in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50.
10. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and ReelTideLog each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action or class arbitration. You may opt out of this arbitration clause within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing reeltidelog@gmail.com.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, we may delete your account data after 30 days. You may request an export of your User Content before then by emailing reeltidelog@gmail.com.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ReelTideLog regarding the Service.
