Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Your account email and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text); the trip, catch, and location data you log; and, if you subscribe to Pro, your subscription/billing status. Location data (dropped pins, catch coordinates) is used to fetch tide, weather, and regulations information relevant to that spot, and to show it back to you on your own trips and maps. This data is private to your account and isn't shared with other users.

2. Third parties we use

ReelTideLog relies on the following processors to operate:

• Stripe — processes web subscription payments. ReelTideLog never sees or stores your card details.
• Apple / Google (via RevenueCat) — processes in-app purchase subscriptions made through the iOS or Android app.
• Anthropic — your trip data is sent to generate the AI-written fishing insights and weekly reports shown in the app.
• Vercel — hosts the app and its database, and stores catch photos you upload.
• NOAA and other weather/tide data providers, and Esri— receive the coordinates needed to fetch conditions and map tiles for a location; they don't receive your account identity.

3. How we use your data

To operate the Service: showing your trips and catches back to you, fetching conditions for your logged locations, generating the AI insights/reports feature, and processing subscription payments.

4. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and data, email reeltidelog@gmail.com.

5. Children's privacy

ReelTideLog isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time.
